Mike is an experienced manufacturing CEO with 25+ years managing manufacturing divisions & portfolio companies with revenues from $10MM to $100MM. Well versed in 8020 and Lean manufacturing strategies, he has successfully performed turnarounds in aerospace, industrial and automotive industries.

Mike previously served as President & CEO of The Spencer Turbine Company for almost 10 years, where he successfully deployed Lean and navigated this capital equipment business through significant market shifts in steel, mining and Oil & Gas related cycles. Mike also executed one acquisition and one merger during his tenure at Spencer. Prior to Spencer, also as President & CEO, he performed a complex and challenging turnaround at The Acushnet Rubber Company, transforming it from a bank workout to a profitable and growing business. Mike was able to unwind a great deal of unprofitable business, conduct a material divestiture, and simultaneously deploy a growth strategy for the surviving business.

Prior to his Private Equity experience, he spent 14 years at Coltec Industries in increasingly responsible positions. He has 30+ years of domestic and foreign new business development, Lean deployment experience and offshore supply chain creation. His experience has included both high and low-mix businesses to include full turnkey Engineered to Order environments.

Following 4 years as a Navy enlisted Boiler Technician, Mike became a licensed Plumbing & Heating technician in New York. He then began his manufacturing career at ABB in Engineering, where he became a Senior Electrical & Mechanical Design Engineer and later progressed to the Design Group Director.

Mike holds a B.S. in Organizational Management from Roberts Wesleyan.
